Skin lightening home remedies

Dark skin can be caused by many different things, from too much sunlight to smoking cigarettes, your skin gets dull fairly easily. If you don’t want your skin to resemble that of a used glove, you can use natural solutions to help brighten it. Now, there are many unnatural ways to lighten your skin, but they are expensive and most of them don’t even work. Nobody wants to throw money away on stuff that doesn’t work, especially in these days of frugality.

These natural ways are sure to have your skin glowing as if you were about to ascend into heaven.. So what are the best natural ways in which you can lighten your skin? We found that are sure to help you out .
Yogurt
Yogurt, in most cases, is meant to be eaten, but did you know you can rub it on yourself to get naturally glowing skin? It seems odd, but it actually works. Yogurt has many vitamins and nutrients that are good for the skin.
Yogurt also contains lactic acid, which does similar work to that of skin bleaching. Once a day, you should delicately rub yogurt onto your skin. Not the type that has fruit in it, just plain old yogurt.

After 60 seconds, you can wash it off with warm water and you should see a change in just a few weeks. To increase the effect and make it easier to apply, add a little lemon juice into the yogurt.

Oranges

In the days of the pirates, the main concern with Vitamin C was scurvey. Since nobody gets scurvy anymore, we have an abundance of Vitamin C to use on our skin. You can eat oranges and drink orange juice to enhance your skin, but applying it directly to your skin is the most effective method.
To do this, leave an unused orange peel out to dry. Once it has dried up, grind that skin into a powder and mix it with a tablespoon of plain yogurt to make a super skin remedy. Let it sit on your skin for 15 minutes or so and wash it off with water. You should limit this remedy to once a week in most cases.

Gram Flour

Gram flour contains nutrients that can enhance your skin and complexion, and it can also remove the oils that cause your skin to darken. Gram flour can be used more often than the oranges remedy at three to four times per week, depending on how it is working for you. It’s pretty simple to use, too!

Just mix some gram flour with a bit of water so that it forms into a nice chunky paste. Then, lather it onto your face, legs and hands to get the full effect. Once dries up, you will feel a strange sensation— this means that its time to wash it off with water. You can expect to see glowing results in just a couple of weeks.

Honey

Honey is not only good for the throat, but it’s also great for the skin. Perhaps one of the most well known home remedies, honey moisturizes your skin to enhance your complexion. Honey never goes bad thanks to having antibacterial properties. When honey is applied to the skin, these same antibacterial properties help get rid of scars and other spots you don’t want lingering around.

Just rub some honey onto your face once a day and leave it there for just a couple of minutes. Wash it off when you are ready. The effects are quick to show, as some of the dead and flaky skin will come off on your wash cloth. As an added bonus, you will smell amazing, but just make sure to stay away from bears.

Lemons

Much like oranges, lemons contain a natural acid and Vitamin C, which helps with the growth of skin cells. Lemons also contain antioxidants that are good for both your internal organs and your skin. Before applying lemons, ensure that you have no open cuts or wounds (or it is going to hurt like hell.)
Just dab a cotton ball into some lemon juice and place it on your face for one hour (the juice, not the cotton ball). You can do this once a day. You will soon see some of the scars on your face vanish, as well as a brighter tone emerging. If you have a weird thing about cotton balls (which a lot of people do), you can just rub a cut lemon on your face instead.

Aloe Vera

When you get a sunburn, the first thing you probably do is grab a bottle of aloe vera. Aloe Vera helps peel away the burn and restore your skin to its natural color. The thing about aloe vera is that you don’t need a sunburn to get some great effects on your skin, so keep it handy year round.

Twice a day, apply aloe vera gel onto your skin for 30 minutes at a time. This may seem excessive, but you only need to do this for two weeks before you’ll see the full effect. If you use this remedy in the winter, you’ll get that beautiful natural glow long before the summer months roll around.

Papaya

Papayas are frequently used in many different treatments at spas. Due to the insane amount of nutrients and the natural ability to lighten skin, papayas are indeed a superfood. Just eating one Papaya can help wipe away some of the grease and oxidants that cause your skin to look dull.
The best way to get the direct effect of the Papaya is to take the inside of the skin and rub it over your face. Once you let the papaya dry on your face, wash it off with chilled water and dab dry with a towel. Much like the other remedies on this list, you can combine it with lemon juice to create a good paste for your skin. We sure do love lemon juice paste around here.

Turmeric

It is from the same family as ginger. Instead of using turmeric as a spice on your food, use it as a spice on your skin. Turmeric deters bacteria and other nasty little germs that can find their way onto skin. It also helps raise your melanin levels to give your skin a natural tone.
We’re going to make another paste, but this time mix some turmeric with milk cream. After you apply the paste onto your skin, let it dry before washing it away with warm water. Do this once per day for three weeks, and you will see your skin brighten quickly. You can also mix turmeric with gram flour and lemon juice to make a jack of all trades mask for your face that you can wear for 20 minutes.

Cucumber

Many of us know collagen as the stuff that people get injected into their lips for increased plumpness. Instead of that unnatural method, a natural form of collagen will help your skin stay firm and light. Cucumbers are a great source of natural collagen.
Take a couple of slices of cucumber and place them over any area of your skin that is too dark. The most popular method is to place them over the eyes, which gives an amazing cooling sensation. Do this twice a day for 15 minutes intervals until you see how much your skin has improved.

Oatmeal

Dead skin can accumulate on your body for too long, which is one of the leading causes of a dull appearance. That stuff that you eat for breakfast when you’re on a diet or have nothing else left in the fridge is the best way to get rid of dead skin. That’s right, oatmeal is one of the best natural exfoliants that you can find in the world.
You should actually mix your oatmeal with tomato juice. You may smell a bit odd for a little while, but it will be worth it. Once a day, leave the paste on your skin for about 15 to 20 minutes, then gently rub it off with cool water. You have to gently rub off the oatmeal in order for it to take the dead skin off with it.
Now you are armed with 10 different skin lightening home remedies, which will make you feel and look better. If one remedy doesn’t work specifically for you, try another one out. You are sure to find the perfect one for your skin.

Stay Healthy……..

Keep Smiling Always……...
